Flood Risk Modelling
Flooding is the most significant natural hazard in terms of population affected, frequency, area extent, flood duration and social economic damage. Due to the destructive nature of floods, costly mitigation programs and policies such as flood warning system or relocation schemes are typically put in place to limit its negative effects. Such projects are only temporary solutions as continuous investments are needed to upgrade and maintain these projects and despite all the spent money, disastrous floods are still occurring. Both curative and preventive measures are needed to manage flood to an acceptable level.
TAC utilizes airborne LiDAR mapping and aerial photogrammetry which also can be combine together with hydrographic survey technology to provide clients with the most precise topographic and hydrographic maps, flood modelling, GIS database and slope analysis for river monitoring, management and maintenance.
